At Oto's Marketplace all produce and flowers are handled with care! Our produce department is headed by Aki Kushida, a seasoned premier produce retailer with over 30 years of experience.

Aki was founder and owner of Aki's Ranch in Fair Oaks and Old Sacramento, which was best known for carrying the freshest fruits and vegetables from local farmers throughout the Sacramento Valley.

Oto's Marketplace is very fortunate to have Aki teaching our produce team, which includes his youngest son Cary and Lance Yokota, the ropes of the trade-the old school way, from cleaning spinach to bunching cut flowers, you can always be assured fresh quality.

At Oto's, our main focus is to buy produce from local farmers as much as possible. When in season, most of are melons, fruits and vegetables are procurred no farther than Woodland, CA. to the north, Fresno Central Valley to the South, Monterey Peninsula to the West and Penryn, CA  to the East.  We embrace growers that use no pesticides and only use organic fertilizers.
